coffeemaker turns off at about half done. whats wrong?

other #2002981 on bottom of 8 cup pot..
How old is it? And is it still under warranty? Warranty is usually 1 year parts, 90 days labor.
If you've had it for a while, you could put clear vinegar in it and let it run through to clear out calcium deposits, then follow with plain water.
Also, check the strength setting to see if it was adjusted. It could be on strong brew.
If none of these solutions work, there is an electronics issue. Not worth fixing if out of warranty.
I had a unit kind of like yours that never really got hot enough for my taste. Took it to the thrift shop.
